North Irving, north of I-635. The name comes from the land: a former working cattle ranch below a large ridge. It borders Coppell to the north, Farmers Branch to the east, Las Colinas to the south and Cypress Waters, in Dallas, to the west. ZIP codes: 75063 for the whole neighborhood.
02 What is here
A master-planned mix of homes, apartments and shops, developed from the 1980s after I-635 reached the area. The Dallas Cowboys’ headquarters and practice facility were here from 1985 until the team moved to Frisco. More than five miles of landscaped canal walkways and ponds wind between the streets, and Cimarron Park is the neighborhood’s recreation center. Shopping: MacArthur Marketplace, just north of I-635.
03 Getting around
By car: I-635, with SH 114 and SH 121 toward DFW Airport. There is no rail inside Valley Ranch; the nearest DART stations are in Las Colinas, about 3 to 4 miles to the south. Since October 25, 2025, the Silver Line has also stopped at Cypress Waters, to the west, on its way to DFW Airport; that station is about 2.5 miles away.
