Neighborhoods in Carrollton

Four Carrollton neighborhoods, on the map: Downtown Carrollton and Trinity Mills have their own pages, and Josey Ranch and North Carrollton/Frankford are described below.

Josey Ranch

Josey Ranch is the part of Carrollton that runs along Josey Lane, around Josey Ranch Lake. The lake is the center of the neighborhood: one of Carrollton Public Library’s two branches stands beside it, and the other branch is to the north, at Hebron Parkway and Josey Lane.

Josey Lane is the street most trips start on. It runs north–south across the whole city, so it links the neighborhood with the rest of Carrollton in both directions.

There is no rail station in Josey Ranch itself. The nearest DART stations are Downtown Carrollton, on the Green Line and the Silver Line, and Trinity Mills, where the A-train to Lewisville and Denton begins; both are west of the neighborhood, about Maps: minutes by car away. If you would rather live by a lake and a library than next to a station, and you drive to work, start your list here.

North Carrollton / Frankford

North Carrollton/Frankford is the northern part of Carrollton around Frankford Road, north of the President George Bush Turnpike. This corner of the city is in Denton County.

Its station, North Carrollton/Frankford, is the northern end of the DART Green Line and the only DART station in Denton County. It was built mainly as a park-and-ride for commuters to downtown Dallas: from here the Green Line runs south through Carrollton and Farmers Branch to downtown with no transfer, about Maps: minutes by train.

The A-train passes the station without stopping. For Lewisville or Denton, ride the Green Line one stop south to Trinity Mills and change there. Start your list here if you work downtown and would rather take the train than drive.

What we actually do in Carrollton

Three things happen here that a listing grid cannot do for you.

  1. 01

    CALLS

Apartment inventory changes. We call the property before presenting a place instead of publishing a stale listing page.

  2. 02

    YOUR LIST, YOUR RULES

Steering a client toward a property for our own benefit is a breach of a broker duty in Texas, not a matter of preference. If you rule an option out, tell us in writing and it stays out.

  3. 03

    DATED

Every rent on this page shows its source and date. Community rents and specials show the day we checked them; a special comes down 30 days after its last check, and a community we haven’t checked in 60 days comes off our pages.
