West Farmers Branch near I-635, along Luna Road: the developer places it at I-635 and Luna Road, and the 2017 groundbreaking was held at Luna Road and Whittington Lane.
What is here
Six builders put up detached and attached homes in six neighborhoods with English town names: Amesbury, Ashington, Brighton, Coventry, Verwood and Windermere. The Abbey, a townhome section, is a later phase. The commercial land holds shops, offices and apartment buildings, and the Mercer Boardwalk has waterfront dining.
Getting around
By car: I-635, the LBJ Freeway, which meets I-35E east of here. Nearest rail: Farmers Branch station on the DART Green Line, near the northeast corner of I-635 and I-35E; it opened on December 6, 2010, and it is about Maps: minutes by car from Mercer Crossing.

Mercer Crossing is a planned district, not an old neighborhood. Centurion American Development Group bought the land in 2015 and planned it with the City of Farmers Branch for more than two years. When work began in March 2017, the plan set aside 93 of its 370 acres for urban commerce and 174 for single-family homes, all in the style the developer calls Texas Tudor.
