APTVIVA / ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility
A site should stay usable when the way you use it changes.
The statement
01
The standard we build toward
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Read that as the target we work to, not as a certificate: no independent auditor has checked it.
02
What we are working toward on every page
- We are working so that every link and control can be reached with the keyboard, and shows a focus outline you can see.
- We are working so that when your system asks for less movement, the page stops moving and nothing disappears with it.
- We are working so that the text and the links stay readable when JavaScript does not run.
- We measure text contrast against the AA thresholds as each page is built, and we fix what falls under.
03
What we know is not there yet
- On the home page, on a desktop with a mouse, the wheel moves the page one full screen at a time instead of scrolling freely. That is deliberate. On a phone, and whenever your system asks for less movement, it does not happen.
- Sample photographs are decorative and carry empty alt text on purpose.
- We have not tested the site with screen readers, and we have not had an independent audit.
04
Tell us what broke
Write to us with the address of the page and what happened. A person reads it, in English or in Spanish.
The other notices
Fair housing, privacy and terms each have a page of their own. The notices a Texas broker has to give you are on the about page.
