The park at the center

  1. The project

UDR called Vitruvian Park the largest development it had ever taken on. It broke ground in May 2008 on 117 acres and opened the first phase in January 2010: 744 homes and 26,000 square feet of shops.

  2. The park

More than 12 acres of green space at 3966 Vitruvian Way: a spring-fed creek with a winding walk, architectural fountains, a pond with overlooks, a lawn for gatherings and links to regional trails.

  3. The seasons

Vitruvian Lights began in December 2012 with 1.2 million bulbs in nine colors on more than 500 trees, and it comes back every winter. The town also lists Vitruvian Nights and the Vitruvian Salsa Festival among the park’s events.

The development sits just west of the Dallas North Tollway and about a mile north of I-635, so both highways are close. The trade-off is rail: the nearest station, Addison on the Silver Line, is a drive away.
