Downtown Apartments

In short

Downtown Dallas is the business center inside a ring of freeways: Woodall Rodgers on the north, I-35E on the west, I-30 on the south and US 75 on the east. All four DART light-rail lines stop here, and Klyde Warren Park opened over the freeway in 2012.

Where Downtown is

Downtown is the part of Dallas inside its inner freeway loop. Woodall Rodgers Freeway runs along the north side, I-35E along the west and I-30 along the south. On the east side, an elevated stretch officially numbered I-345 is signed as US 75 heading north and I-45 heading south.

Main Street crosses the middle from west to east, one block south of Elm Street and one block north of Commerce Street. Inside the loop are named districts: the West End, the Main Street District, the Arts District, the Government District, the Farmers Market District and Reunion.

ZIP codes: 75201, 75202 and 75270.

What is here

Office towers and the historic commercial buildings of Main Street, many of them restored for new uses, including hotels. Museums and concert halls in the Arts District on the north side. Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum on the west side. The Dallas Farmers Market on the southeast side, where local producers sell in an open-air pavilion called The Shed on weekends.
