Victory Park is a 75-acre district just northwest of downtown Dallas, north of Woodall Rodgers Freeway, with I-35E, the Stemmons Freeway, along its west side. It is part of the Stemmons Corridor and of the wider Uptown area. Ross Perot Jr. developed the district, which was planned in detail before it was built.
The American Airlines Center, an indoor arena for basketball, hockey and other events, opened on July 17, 2001, at 2500 Victory Avenue, on the site of an old power plant. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, in a building by the architect Thom Mayne, moved in on December 1, 2012, and office, retail and residential buildings stand around both.

The Katy Trail runs 3.5 miles from the American Airlines Center north to Mockingbird Station, on the old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad bed. Union Pacific gave the old line to the city in 1993, and work on the trail began in 2000.
When the arena has a game or a show, Victory station and the streets around Victory Avenue fill up before and after. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is at 2201 N. Field Street.
