- Move or rebate
A move or rebate, included when you lease through us.
Lease through AptViva at a participating community and choose 3 hours of moving or a rebate. Your apartment search is free either way.
What you get
3 hours of moving
2 movers and a truck within Dallas-Fort Worth, at $1,200+ monthly rent, when you lease through us at a participating community on a lease of 12 months or more.
a $200 or $400 rebate
$400 if you found the place and registered it with us first, $200 if we search for you. Under $1,200 rent: $200 rebate.
Who qualifies
All 5 have to be true.
- You pick the community on AptViva, or check with us, before you visit, call, send a web form or apply there
- You write AptViva on the guest card and the application
- You sign a new lease of 12 months or more at a participating community
- We confirm your reward in writing before your first visit. After you sign your lease, you report it and accept our reward terms in your account.
- The community confirms your lease and pays us our fee
Rent means the monthly rent on your lease, before one-time move-in specials, without parking, pets, storage or utilities.
It does not apply to
- Renewals, or moves within the same community
- Moves to a sister community, with the same owner or manager
- A community where you lived before
- Leases where another locator, a pay-per-lease website or another referral source is named
- More than one reward per apartment, however many roommates
- Leases under 12 months
How to claim it
Pick the community first, name us when you visit and apply, then report your lease.
Pick first
Pick the community on AptViva, or ask us, before you visit, call or apply. We confirm in writing whether it participates and what your reward is.
Name us
On the guest card and the application, write AptViva. Ask the leasing agent to confirm it.
Sign your lease, then report it
Report your signed lease in your account, choose the move or the rebate, and accept the reward terms in the same step: before move day for the move, or within 7 days of moving in for the rebate. The terms also say what happens if the community doesn’t pay us: no rebate is owed. If the community never pays our fee, or takes it back because your lease ended early, you pay the mover’s charge for the hours you used.
We confirm it
We confirm your lease with the community. Then we book your move, or send your rebate once the community pays us.
If you choose the rebate
- $400 at $1,200 rent or more, if you found the place and registered it with us first.
- $200 if we searched for you, or if your rent is under $1,200.
- We send the rebate by check or Zelle after the community pays us, usually 30 to 90 days after you move in. If you choose a check, deposit it within 90 days. If it expires, write to us and we’ll send a new one.
- Moving from outside Dallas-Fort Worth, or want your own mover? Choose the rebate. The 3 hours only cover local moves with the mover named in the next section.
If you choose the move
3 hours of moving with 2 movers and a truck from Polaris Moving Company LLC, TxDMV No. 010218548C, a company affiliated with AptViva. Polaris is a separate company with its own owner, and you can take the rebate instead and use any mover.
- 3 hours of moving are worth $417 at the mover’s published rate of $139 an hour for 2 movers and a truck.
- Unused time has no rebate value. Past 3 hours, extra time is billed in 15-minute steps at $139 an hour, paid to the mover at the end of the move.
- If we can’t do your move after you choose it, for any reason, you get the rebate instead.
- We book your move after we confirm your lease, at least 14 days ahead, for a date within 30 days of your lease start.

Where the reward comes from
We pay the rebate from the locator fee the community pays us, and the community decides whether that fee is paid. If it doesn’t agree to the rebate, changes its terms, or doesn’t pay our fee for any reason, no rebate is owed.
What “Restrictions apply” means
Each reward offer on this site ends with “Restrictions apply. See terms.” The reward is paid from our fee. It is subject to the apartment community’s terms, to the community paying our fee, and to the restrictions on this page.
Questions
When does the clock start?
When the crew arrives at your current home. It stops when the last item is inside your new one, and everything in between counts: loading, the drive between the two homes, unloading, and any wait for keys, a signature or an elevator.
What if the move takes longer than 3 hours?
You pay the mover for the extra time, billed in 15-minute steps at $139 an hour for 2 movers and a truck.
Who does the move?
Polaris Moving Company LLC, TxDMV No. 010218548C, a company affiliated with AptViva. Polaris is a separate company with its own owner, and you can take the rebate instead and use any mover. The 3 hours are paid through Polaris, so they only work with Polaris.
What if something gets damaged?
Claims go to the mover, under the coverage stated in its contract. If a claim isn’t resolved, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles offers free mediation (888-368-4689, txdmv.gov).
Can I use it to move from another city?
The 3 hours cover a local move inside Dallas-Fort Worth. If you’re moving from farther away, choose the rebate.
Can I take the rebate instead of the move?
Yes. At $1,200 rent or more, it’s $400 if you found the place and registered it with us first, and $200 if we searched for you. You choose when you report your signed lease. Once you pick the move, unused hours have no rebate value and can’t be given to someone else.
Why is the rebate different in the two columns?
Both rewards come from our fee. When you’ve already found the place, less of that fee goes into the search, so more of it comes back to you. The move is the same in both columns.
What if I registered a place and then want help finding others?
That’s fine. Once we send you options or book a tour, your reward follows the “Help me find one” column. We tell you in writing before that happens, and you can keep your first reward for the place you registered.
Which communities participate?
The ones whose agreement with us lets us share part of our fee with you. A community page shows the reward once we’ve confirmed the community participates; the others say to ask us. Either way, we confirm it in writing before you visit, call or apply. If yours doesn’t, we still help you lease it and can suggest similar communities that do.
When doesn’t the reward apply?
When the community doesn’t pay us our fee, or takes it back because your lease ended early. No rebate is owed then. If you used the move, you pay the mover’s charge for the hours you used.
What if I report my lease late?
Choosing the move? Report your signed lease before move day, so we can confirm it before the move. Choosing the rebate? Report it within 7 days of moving in. If you report late and the community then won’t pay us, no reward is owed. If the community pays anyway, you still get your reward.
