Living in Oak Lawn

Oak Lawn lies north and northwest of downtown Dallas, overlapping part of Uptown, roughly between Turtle Creek Boulevard, Central Expressway, Highland Park, Inwood Road and Harry Hines Boulevard. The city’s zoning for the area, Planned Development District No. 193, the Oak Lawn Special Purpose District, uses its own lines.

It has high-rise apartments and condominiums along Turtle Creek Boulevard, older streets of single-family homes, and the shops and restaurants of Cedar Springs Road and Maple Avenue. UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital are on Harry Hines Boulevard on the west side, and Reverchon Park, built in 1915, follows Turtle Creek.
