Changing trains at Trinity Mills

Trinity Mills station, at 2525 Blanton Drive, has one side platform, one island platform and three tracks, plus a lot for 494 cars. The A-train starts here and heads north; its first stop is Hebron, in Lewisville.

The Green Line runs straight through. One stop north is North Carrollton/Frankford, the end of the line; one stop south is Downtown Carrollton, where you change for the Silver Line to DFW Airport.

Before 2010, buses met at the North Carrollton Transit Center, about a third of a mile east on Dickerson Parkway. It had four bus bays and 1,047 parking spaces, and it was torn down in 2016 when the parkway was widened.

The name is older than the railroad. Trinity Mills was settled in 1853 on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, two miles northwest of Carrollton, and was first called Witt’s Mill, after the gristmill of Preston and Wade H. Witt and A. W. Perry. Its post office closed for good in 1915, and the settlement later became part of Carrollton.
