  • Worth up to $537 at the crew’s hourly rate.
  • 2 hours are worth up to $358. The crew books 3 hours minimum, so the third one is at their rate.
  • Sent to you once the community pays us, usually 30 to 90 days after you move in.
  • If the community pays us a reduced fee, it drops one more tier. Rent means effective rent: after specials, without parking, pets, storage or utilities.
  • Your search is free whether or not you qualify.

02 Move day

The clock runs from door to door.

  1. The crew arrives. The clock starts.

    Waiting for keys, a signature or an elevator counts as time.

  2. Loading

    Furniture wrapped, and taken apart when it needs it. Everything else already in boxes.

  3. The drive

    Between your two homes, inside Dallas-Fort Worth. One pickup, one drop-off.

  4. Unloading

    Into the rooms you choose, with the furniture put back together.

  5. Last item in. The clock stops.

    Past the included hours the crew charges $179 an hour, paid to them at the end.

03 The truck

What rides in the truck, and what rides with you.

Included

  • Three movers and a truck
  • Blankets, dollies and wrap for your furniture
  • Loading, the drive between your two homes, and unloading
  • Taking apart and putting back basic furniture, like beds and tables
  • One pickup and one drop-off, both in Dallas-Fort Worth

Not included

  • Packing and unpacking, and boxes or materials
  • Pianos, safes and single items over 300 lb
  • Firearms, anything flammable, plants, and loose items not in boxes
  • Cash, jewelry, documents and medicines: they ride with you
  • Hooking up washers, dryers or gas, and mounting TVs
  • Extra stops, and moves to or from outside the area

04 Who qualifies

Four things, and the move is yours.

  1. You register with us before you visit or call the community
  2. You write AptViva on the guest card and the application
  3. You sign a new lease at a community you found through us
  4. The community pays us and confirms you as our client

It does not apply to

  • Renewals, or moves within the same community
  • Moves to a sister community, with the same owner or manager
  • Anyone on the lease who lived there before
  • Leases where another locator or source is named
  • More than one reward per apartment, however many roommates

05 How to claim it

Say it early. Name us. Book two weeks out.

  1. Tell us you want the move When you start your search, or in the form below.
  2. Name us On the guest card and the application, write AptViva. Ask the leasing agent to confirm it.
  3. Book it early At least 2 weeks before move day. With less than 72 hours we can’t promise a crew.
  4. Report your lease Within 30 days of moving in. We confirm it with the community and your reward is set.

The back of the pass

When does the clock start? When the crew arrives at your current home. It stops when the last item is in the new one. Waiting for keys, a signature or an elevator counts as time.

What if the move takes longer? The extra time is at the crew’s standard rate, paid to them at the end of the move. You agree on the details with them before move day.

Who does the move? A licensed Texas moving company that works with AptViva. Its name, its TxDMV number and your written estimate come with your move agreement.

What if something gets damaged? Claims go to the moving company, under the coverage stated in its contract. If a claim is not resolved, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles offers free mediation.

Can I use it to move from another city? The included hours cover local moves within Dallas-Fort Worth. If you are coming from farther away, tell us and we will talk through your options.

Can I trade the hours for cash, or give them away? No. The hours are for your own move, on one day, and have no cash value.

When is the reward cancelled? If the community does not pay us, takes the fee back, or the lease ends early. Your search stays free either way.

The legal part The reward depends on the apartment community paying a locator fee and consenting to it. It does not change your rent or the specials you are offered. We may update these terms; the version in place on the day you register with us is the one that applies.
